The 12th exhibition Rue des Métiers d’Art will occur on October 28th, 29th and 30th 2022 in Nontron, in North Dordogne.
Every year, around 30 arts and crafts professionals present their new collections and make the demonstration of their knowhow and creativity. This 2022 edition respect this basic rule. The rigorous selection  is based on the official glossary of the arts and crafts jobs and gives prominnence to the excellence of the gesture, the nobility of the material, the precision of the finishing stages and an irreproachable aesthetic. The exhibition Rue des Métiers d’Art presents creators who perfectly master exceptional knowhows and share the current concerns while aiming for a better future.

Among them, there will be 18 first-time exhibitors as the discovery is in the heart of our identity. Art cutlery manufacturers, sculptors on paper or ceramic with very personnal universes, wood turner mixing tradition and modernity, stylist, trendy and ethical, refined jewel manufacturer, leather workers, lampshade creator, engraver or also producer of angora wool…they will surprise and deslight the public !
They come from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region but also from the Haute-Loire, Rhône, Ariège, Haute-Garonne or Paris. The members of the Pole have their place this year again.
The Experimental Pole of Arts and Crafts in Nontron which organize the exhibition aims to support the development of the arts and crafts sector. It then invites the Campus des Métiers et Qualifications Cuir, Textiles, Mode et Luxe de Nouvelle-Aquitaine to present the formations of these knowhows.
Another famous exhibitor is the publishing house Citadelles et Mazenod which will come to present its art works.

The public will be able to discover on theexhibition art objects, unique or little series items in the sectors of the decoration, fashion and tableware art.
Numerous knowhows and materials will be represented: paper sculpture, ceramic, weaving, engraving, feather work, basketwork, leather work, cutlery manufacture, glass blowing and engraving glass, textile creation, jewellery…
Workshops will allow young and old to get initiated to these knowhows with high technicity.
Finally, the exhibition is deployed in the entire city with workshops and shops open to the public and the Arts and Crafts Shop which has settled down rue Carnot during the restauration works in the castle.

Rue des Métiers d’Art affirms clear and loud that it is possible to consume differently with the arts and crafts. Buying an arts and crafts objects means to buy beautiful, sustainable and ethical! Buying an arts and crafts objects also means to meet a craftsman, discover his personality, it adds human in one’s daily life.

A few hours away from big cities, our visitors will be able to discover and aquire original, sustainable objects produced in France and adapted to the modern use.
