TO THE DISCOVERY OF GESTURES AND MATERIALS
After two years away from the essence of the European Artistic Crafts Days , the “Institut National des Métiers d’Art” (National Institute for Arts and Crafts) works in order to put the spotlight again on the meetings, exchanges and demonstrations of knowhow of arts and crafts professionals. The theme chosen for this edition is “our hands in unison”, a theme centered on human and make together.
The Experimental Pole of Arts and Crafts of Nontron will propose two events in the city centre of Nontron in order to propose an animation for both schools and the public. It is also important not to forget the workshops opened to the public!
The Pole pursues its actions of awareness to arts and crafts and promotion of arts and crafts professionals of the territory while proposing a rich and varied program.

ARTS AND CRAFTS AND DESIGN IN UNISON
Collective creation in the public space
Saturday April 2nd from 10 am to 5 pm – collective creation and workshop
Sunday April 3rd from 3 to 6 pm – Presentation to the public and activation of the dispositive

We challenge the arts and crafts professionals and the students of the Post-Master “Design des mondes ruraux” of the “Ecole Nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs” Paris/branch of Nontron. They will have to create a collective work mixing knowhows and materials in public during the European Artistic Crafts Days.
The objectives of this collective of creators are to raise awareness among the public to arts and crafts, to share skills and knowhows in order to make something together, to get together for a joint project and to participate to the public life!
Furniture, decorative objects, mobile or not, durable or ephemeral, come to discover what will come from this exchange between young designers and arts and crafts professionals!
