Following the success of the 45th occasion of the Ceramic Market of Bussière-Badil with more public, the association Quatre à Quatre presents a selection of 45 talented ceramists une for this new edition which will occur from Thursday May 18 to Sunday May 21 2023 !
Still attentive to the quality and the eclecticism, the association is set on giving pride of place to the modern sculpture as well as the beautiful utilitarian tableware made from the pottery tradition. The choice of the two guests of honour, Mathieu Duval and Patrick Rollet, illustrates their wish to unite traditional and modern art. As a matter of fact, in order to prolong the event created two years ago, the Roman church of Bussière-Badil will welcome Patrick Rollet, reknown ceramist who has been for thirty years a pillar in this beautiful event which national influence towards ceramists and the public has been illustrated many times over. The universe of Patrick Rollet, full of pictorial enamels and sculptures from millenary inspiration will stand alongside to the alveolar and firmly modern world of Mathieu Duval, who will make a monumental sculpture during these four days all in lightness and balance.
The association Quatre à quatre harbor major ambitions for this event which would embody all along the week-end a vessel which would transport you in the wonderful world of the ceramic. This artistic and hand-crafted event was created in a rural environment 46 years ago now.
Every day from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 to 6 pm adults and children will be able to participate to a modelling workshop animated by the students of the Arts and crafts and design high school from La Souterraine.
An exhibition of the creations made by two classes from the school of Bussière-Badil made within the scope of the Program of Artistic and Cultural Education led in partnership with the Experimental Pole of Arts and Crafts of Nontron and the Academy of Bordeaux will also be presented during the market.

Creation in public of Mathieu Duval
Mathieu DUVAL will realize a sculpture thanks to the technic of coil-built all along the market. He will make a sculpture in volume, thin and delicate.
