41 weaver market in Varaignes

After two years of absence, the weaver market is back for its 41st edition which will occur from June 4th to June 6th in the castle of Varaignes.
The market reunites textile professionals who propose their production for sale: fashion, clothes, accessories, decoration…
Different technics will be represented: weaving (linen, hemp, wool, mohair wool, cotton…), felt, knitting, dye, millinery… as well as demonstrations.
The public will also discover the exhibition “Reprises…repriseS”, an exhibition which objective is to highlight the artistic creation related to the fibres and textile and to give free rein to the imagination.
This market allows the visitors to (re)discover knowhows through educational animations: Workshop-museum of Weaving and the Charentaise, professional workshops of textile art, animations and demonstrations, visit of the botanic garden of textile plants and tints in “Lud’eau Vive”.
