The 10th Rue des Métiers d’Art exhibition will occur on October 25th, 26th and 27th 2019 in Nontron.
30 creators and arts and crafts professionals will present their latest collections and will make demonstrations of their knowhow and creativity.
This 10th edition is a good opportunity to invite again emblematic creators who have charmed our visitors during the previous shows.
They will be joined by 10 newcomers as novelty and discovery are in the heart of the exhibition identity.
The members of the Experimental Pole of Arts and Crafts and the professionals of the region, of course, have a place this year again.
The public will find on the exhibition: arts and crafts items, unique pieces or small series in the sectors of decoration, fashion and culinary arts. Numerous knowhow and materials will be represented: turned wood, mosaic, enamel, basketwork, engraving, leather goods, lingerie creation, binding…The exhibition shows that it is possible to consume differently with arts and crafts as buying an arts and crafts good means to buy a beautiful, lasting and ethic items!
A few hours away from big cities, our visitor will be able to discover and acquire original, lasting objects produced locally and adapted to modern use.
In the spotlight of the 2019 edition: emblematic creators and discoveries!
Emblematic creators:
This 10th edition is above all an opportunity for us to invite again emblematic creators who have particularly charmed our visitors during the previous editions.
Among them you can find: Georges Baudot – wood turner who comes from the Gironde region, Karen Cayuela – Les dessous de Karen, Catherine Cazes – glass jewels creator. Claude Vernet – jewels creator with horns and other extraordinary materials, Maï Grégoire – L’Art ritournelle, Jessica Lengelée – Pixie cuir, leather worker.
Novelty and discovery:
10 newcomers exhibit this year as novelty and discovery are in the heart of the exhibition identity. Come to discover among them: Julie Bernard – Roulie verre, stained glass worker and lights, mobiles and other sculptures maker. Charlotte Bouyssou – Kozhha, leather worker. Gaëlle Jamet, ceramist. Marlène Popovic, Les jardins d’Ila and her vegetal tints.
And many others again: leather workers, ceramists, wood turner, jewels creator, light and furniture creators, glass blower, clothes creator… Everyone will be there!
And we still propose a great variety of daily items, each one more beautiful than the last…items which allow coating one’s table, house and family!
The Arts and Crafts professionals of the pole and the Workshops-Shops
The arts and crafts professionals of the Pole: The Rue des Métiers d’Art exhibition is also the showcase of the arts and crafts professionals members of the pole. These are safe bets, very appreciated from local amateurs and who will surely charmed our visitors!
Michelle Combeau, La Coutellerie nontronnaise, Isabelle Duclos-Verlaine, Amélie Hélin… and 5 Workshops-Shops will open their doors in the city center of Nontron, a unique opportunity to discover the creation process!
A path in the city…the countryside tendencies!
Rue des Métiers d’Art: a path in the heart of the city
During one week-end, the exhibition will occur around the Nontron town hall place in a convivial and warm environment.
The exhibition « Merveilleux et fantastique», in the castle, completes this panorama presenting very modern creators. The Arts and Crafts Shop proposes its collection Winter 2019 and its prestigious gallery firm favourites.
Between the castle and the town hall place, you will be able to visit 5 Workshops-Shops and wander between the exhibition places.
Finally, you will be invited to see demonstrations in order to discover knowhow and share the universes of arts and crafts professionals.

For more than 18 years, the Nontron Experimental Pole of Arts and Crafts shows that the countryside is a place of creativity, research and innovation. It invites today the public from everywhere in France and in the entire world to come to discover the most actual tendencies in the rural environment!
A few hours away from big cities, our visitor will be able to discover and acquire original, lasting objects produced locally and adapted to modern use.
